Before we had themed exhibitions starting in 2017, we displayed cars from local club members along with cars in our Museum collection. We borrowed several cars from John Anderson.
The BMW E9 2800 CS is a two-door coupe developed from the New Class-based BMW 2000 CS coupe, which was enlarged to hold the BMW M30 inline six-cylinder engine used in the E3 sedan. The BMW New Class was a line of sedans and coupes produced by BMW between 1962 and 1977. These models ensured BMW’s solvency after the company’s financial crisis of the 1950s and established the identity of BMW automobiles as sports sedans.
If anyone has additional pictures of this car in this exhibition, please share with us so we can update our photo gallery.
