From the pictures, this car may not look any different than other Alpine White E30 M3s, however, this one is special. It is the last US VIN sold in the country. It was auctioned off back in 1991. David Hobbs, yes, the David Hobbs we all know who raced various cars for several decades, won this car.

Jump forward many years, Lance White acquired this car after it had been owned by others in between. We have had Scott Hughes former Ray Korman raced E30 M3 on display at the BMW CCA Foundation and The Ultimate Driving Museum. The Korman car is VIN #1. We don’t know if the two cars have ever been together before, but we wanted to be able to say we displayed the first and last US VIN cars together. This was a special treat for the M fans!
