Introduced in 1985, the three-cylinder K 75 wasn’t just a K 100 minus one cylinder but a much sportier bike altogether. The engine put out 100 horsepower per liter instead of 90, while a crankshaft counter-balancer reduced the triple’s inherent vibration. The frame had a steeper head angle, augmented in the K 75 S with stiffer suspension and narrower handlebars behind slimmer bodywork from Klaus-Volker Gevert’s design team. The K 75 S seen here is a zero-mileage example, still on its shipping crate from the Berlin-Spandau factory.
