For the 50th Anniversary of BMW M, BMW brought out several past and current BMW M cars from their collection here in Greer, SC. They were going to allow the automotive press to drive these cars over a two day period from the BMW Manufacturing Plant to Amelia Island for the Amelia Island Concours. BMW elected to have the media start from The Ultimate Driving Museum so the press could see some other examples of M cars we would have on display in our then upcoming The Power of M exhibition. In order to do this, BMW had to move the cars from their storage building to our Museum. Fortunately, we were in the process of building the exhibition, so we didn’t have our cars set up in the display. We were able to fit all the cars in our building. Roughly 50 cars total and we still had room to spare.
